With our deep love for citrus fruits, we took up a new activity 10 years ago to place alongside the cultivation of the citrus fruit plants. We decided to plant an orchard for the production of citrus fruits, so forming the “San Nicola di Torre Carmelo e C.SS” with its seat in Barcellona (ME).We chose the province of Catania and the town of Motta S. Anastasia for the orchard as it is the area most indicated for the production of red oranges (exclusive to Sicily).
Today in Motta S.Anastasia we have a good firm in production and at the beginning of October we start to gather the Satsuma Miyagawa, then the Navelina and then we arrive at the best, the Tarocco ( the red orange par excellence) that we can gather from 15th of December to the end of March, when we also gather the late mandarins of Ciaculli.

A long harvesting period is possible with athe Tarocco oranges as we have different clones; in fact we begin with the “Tapi”, then the Tarocco “Nuc 57”, then with the “Scire”, the “Gallo” ect..We are therefore able to deliver the goods with the best organic characteristics.
